I've been burning through the Kushiel's Legacy series by Jacqueline Carey and I've never been satisfied with the "official" book cover version. Her marque is described as being abstract and representing "the vine, the bond, and the lash" as well as having a rose. So, I made my own version. I managed to fit in a key symbol thing-y for Kushiel too, although that's artistic license and not stated in the text.

I thought there was only supposed to be one spot of red though...Like toward the base...don't get me wrong, that's gorgeous!
